President

Chris has worked in the Lithium Ion Battery industry for more than 20 years, starting with Compact Power located in Colorado; Compact Power was acquired by LG Chem. Chris has worked for LG Chem, CATL, ATL, and Microvast serving various management and sales roles in Michigan. Chris also helped fund and start American Electric Vehicles (AEV), a fully electric shuttle bus effort targeting fleets driving repetitive routes. Chris speaks Chinese and is a graduate of the University of Colorado Business School where he received an MBA.

Engineering / Installations Director

Ed has over twenty years’ experience in special machines, manufacturing, processing and build pertaining to cylindrical and prismatic battery equipment and product design. He has extensive knowledge of engineering disciplines including processing equipment, web

converting, conveying systems, dials and transfer lines. He is proficient in controls, pneumatics and related business practices such as cost control, scheduling and customer fulfillment. Ed has multiple patents and publications and studied electronics and engineering.

Rachel is the President of W&W International Consulting. W&W International Consulting is a Michigan-based accounting, tax, and business consulting practice firm with international scope and multicultural expertise. W & W is a group of CPAs and trusted specialty advisors experienced in American and International environments, offering service to public and private companies both domestic and abroad. 

Sales / Project Manager

Joshua is a recent graduate with a solid foundation in finance and marketing, bringing a fresh perspective  to our team. Having spent a year as an account manager at a creative marketing firm post grad, he has fostered effective communication and project management skills.

Joshua is currently stationed in China leading communication with KATOP, our esteemed partner in battery equipment manufacturing, and other local suppliers.

Advisor

Paul Kaplan was a corporate/M&A attorney for 20 years as a partner with an Am Law 100 law firm and has also worked as in-house counsel. Since leaving his law practice, Paul has spent the past 15 years as a business advisor with strategic, governance, financial and transactional capabilities.  Paul has served in multi-functional business positions with early-stage companies, as well as sitting on Boards and serving in various advisory roles. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Boston University School of Law.

Peter Chou is the vice president of KATOP, responsible for the sales center and strategic product department. He has 17 years of technical and management experience in new energy industry. Since joining KATOP in 2009, Peter has used his rich technical experience in key LIB equipment, such as dry electrode equipment, hydrogen energy, solid state, powder equipment, and material equipment, as well as forward-looking industry technologies, to lead the global development of KATOP.

Advisor 

Dirk Spiers is the founder and CEO of Spiers New Technologies (SNT). He is a pioneer and market leader in the repair, remanufacturing and refurbishment of advanced EV battery packs and pre-treatment recycling. SNT has been awarded General Motor’s Supplier of the Year 2021 and Overdrive award for 2021. His experience in remanufacturing, battery, solar and wind technologies places him at the forefront of developing programs to manage the full life cycle of battery packs, as well as utilizing battery storage systems with renewable energy sources. SNT works with most leading OEM’s and has facilities in the USA (Oklahoma City, Detroit, Las Vegas) and Europe (UK and the Netherlands).
